Ecto Cool

What better way to show your pure devotion to busting ghosts than to quench your thirst with a little Ecto Cooler?

The supernatural neon green color made my head spin. And I believe the ingredients were as follows:
Lime
Neon
Sugar
Sugar
Sugar

Yes, it does look exactly like anti-freeze, but, dang it, Ecto Cooler was delicious. And while it had all the nutritional value of a bag of sugar mixed with a bag of M&Ms, Ecto Cooler was the perfect way to end a day of kick-ball and Sega playing.
And Slimer endorsed it for crying out loud. So you know it had to be good.

Sadly, Ecto Cooler has gone the way of the Dodo Bird. But I did find this helpful recipe:

So while it may not have the same kick as a true Ecto Cooler, all of the Absolut will soon make you not give a darn.

Oh, and I found the perfect product to get rid of that pesky neon green coat of color from your tongue:

Cartoon Saturday: This is Ghostbusters?

If one were to mention Ghostbusters, you would immediately think of: Ray, Winston, Peter, Egon, and Slimer.

So who in the heck are these guys?!!:

I mean, a monkey in a fedora? That ain't no Ghostbuster. And what's up with that flying bat thing? A poor substitute for our junk-food binging Slimer.

And what happened to Ecto-1? Instead, we get some sort of jalopy with the Scream mask on the front. How can you respond to ghost sightings without flashing blue strobes and a siren that sounds like a strangled cat?

Having the heart of a secret agent, I did a thorough investigation of this cartoon. Alright, I went to IMDB. Here's what I found:

Eddie, Jake and their pet gorilla Tracy track down and eliminate ghosts with the help of a few supernatural sidekicks. This is an animated remake of the live-action series, "The Ghost Busters" (1975), and is in no way related to the more well-known film "Ghostbusters"
1984).

So there you go. This head-scratching cartoon by Filmation is an animated version of a show that nobody watched. Now I got it.

It's Slime Time

Never has slimy gunk been so much fun! It's the Banshee Bomber!!

In my day, I've received a few of the Real Ghostbusters Cartoon figures. And, frankly, they were alright. However...add a little slime, and these figures became awesome.

I love how Ray is being vomitted on by some red demon of the netherworld. And that vomit is the most delicious color of purple. And who hasn't taken some kind of slime at some point in life and faked a massive sneeze?!

And in case you've lost your container of Ecto-Plazm, here's some dude showing you how to make your own slime:
